As a platinum sponsor of the 31st Southeast Asian Games, Nestle MILO has provided money and goods, including more than 477,000 packs of MILO, to help energise the competing athletes.
The brand is also a partner of the Centre for Natural Resources and Environment in its campaign on ‘Say no to plastic waste’ during the games.
It has installed welcome gates with the message ‘SEA Games 31 says no to plastic waste’ at the My Dinh National Stadium and plastic recycling stations at many major stadiums to encourage athletes and supporters to exchange plastic waste for gifts.
Binu Jacob, managing director of Nestle Vietnam, said during its nearly 30-year presence in the country, Nestle MILO has always inspired sports and believes that through sports young people can train persistence, one of the factors for success in life.
He also hopes that the activities and initiatives to encourage plastic waste reduction will convey a meaningful message about the environment to those at the 31st SEA Games. — VNS
