Mrs World runner-up organises International Women Leaders Forum 2016

HCM CITY (Biz Hub) — As a founder and operator of Women Leaders International Network (WLIN) as well as head of many boards of business community programmes, Nguyễn Thị Thu Hương, the runner-up at the Mrs World 2011 pageant, has continued her success by organising the annual International Women Leaders Forum this year. The 2016 forum took place on March 5 in HCM City.

Following the success of the previous forums, Hương helped to highlight the vital role of the Women Leaders International Network and show that the International Women Leaders Forum, guided by Việt Nam Women Entrepreneur Council – VCCI, is a prestigious annual award. It has received enthusiastic support from the majority of local and foreign entrepreneurs.

This year, the organisation board chose "Lean-in" as the main topic of the programme. With this topic, the organisation board wanted to share many exciting stories about CEOs working in a flat world.

With the topic "Lean-in", the organisation board held many discussions, such as "Women Lean in Business", "Young Women Leaders – Success and Challenge", "Women leaders – Success and Happiness", among others. Participating in the forum, guests will have an opportunity to meet and speak with female leaders who are well known domestic and foreign speakers.

The speakers include: Ms Lê Thị Quỳnh Trang – Chairwoman of Multimedia JSC company; Ms Rebecca Kallioniemi – Director of AIA Hong Kong; Mrs Nguyễn Thu Hương – General Director of Nam Hương Media & Events; Ms Nguyễn Hồng Trang – General Director of Sơn Kim Mode Company; Ms Yisha He – Founder of Zhejiang Unisun Renewable Energy Co.,Ltd; and Ms Crystal Lee-Cofounder and Director of LifeSite.

With its scale being expanded over the years, this year's forum saw the participation of a number of entrepreneurs from Việt Nam and other countries, including Australia, the UK, the US, Russia, Malaysia, Japan, Thailand, Cambodia, Hong Kong, Macao, China, Singapore, Venezuela and the Philippines. The forum attracted more than 600 women leaders from many fields.

The organisation board also honoured the Top 50 Typical Women Leaders who have made great contributions to the business community and to the economy.

The programme ended successfully with great support from Hương who expressed her special thanks to all the sponsors and the media for their ceaseless support and coverage. — VNS
