HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Masan Group Corporation, one of Viet Nam's largest private sector business groups,has appointed Seokhee Won as Chief Executive Officer of the subsidiary Masan Consumer Corporation.
Won, a seasoned executive with 22 years of experience at the global consumer goods company Unilever, will also join as Deputy CEO of Masan Group, in line with the group's focus on consumer and consumption-related businesses.
Won's experience includes senior management roles in Unilever's businesses in China, South Africa, Thailand, Korea and Viet Nam.
Chairman of Masan Group Nguyen Dang Quang said Won's appointment is a major step in transforming Masan Consumer Corporation into a more regional player, and Masan Group into a more consumer-oriented business group.
Won will assume his new roles early this year and succeed current CEO Truong CongThang, who is leaving to focus on his personal projects.
Masan Consumer is one of Viet Nam's leading diversified consumer companies and currently manufactures and distributes a range of food and beverage products, including seasonings such as fish sauce, soya sauce and chili sauce; convenience foods such as instant noodles and breakfast meals; and beverages such as instant coffee, instant cereal and mineral water. — VNS
