South Korean household appliance maker LOCK&LOCK will offer discounts of up to 50 per cent on over 10,000 products at its F2C Long Hau store in Long An Province from June 17 to 19 during its Brand Day event.
Customers with bills of VND1 million (US$43) can also participate in a lucky draw programme that offers prizes such as a Samsung phone, a Samsung TV, a 7-piece premium cookware set, an oil-free fryer, a set of premium porcelain plates and bowls, and a Lock&Lock thermos container.
Customers with bills worth VND10 million will get a 24-inch travel suitcase or a coupon worth VND500,000 and those with VND20 million will get an induction cooker and a set of three Decore pot and pans or a 0.8l rice cooker and a set of six porcelain bowls.
This year LOCK&LOCK offers a zero interest instalment plan to customers with bills over VND5 million.
Brand Day will also include a cooking show organised by Lock&Lock and Bibigo with the participation of Tang Tu Vinh Quang, a chef at a five-star restaurant.
F2C is a large-scale store system under the company’s factory-to-customer model in Viet Nam, which retails a variety of products such as home appliances, kitchenware and interior decoration items.
To go to the store, customers can take free shuttle buses from Diamond Plaza (District 1), An Dong (District 5) and Midtown, Crescent Mall, Happy Valley, Sky Garden, and Sunrise Riverside (District 7). — VNS

Meanwhile, the Viet Nam IT Market Report 2021 conducted by TopDev, a Vietnamese market research company, shows that the average salary of programmers with less than two years of experience in Viet Nam is at least 430,000 won (US$332.6) per month, and the salary for those with more than 10 years of experience is 3.27 million won (over $2,500).
Meanwhile, the average salary of a new employee working at a mid-range IT firm in the RoK is about 3.5 million won (over $2,700) per month.
Samsung Electronics has started construction of the largest R&D centre in Southeast Asia in Ha Noi, which is expected to be completed in 2022.
LG Electronics opened the LG Vehicle Component Solutions Development Centre Viet Nam in the central city of Da Nang in 2020. Naver and NCsoft have also established R&D organisations in Viet Nam.
Naver collaborated with Viet Nam's information technology research institutes, the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT) and the Ha Noi University of Science and Technology to set up an artificial intelligence research centre last year.
