LG Electronics Vietnam Company has donated 10,000 novel coronavirus test kits to the Ministry of Health to assist the country in the fight against the pandemic.

The kit, named Real - Q 2019_nCoV Detection, is manufactured by Biosewoom of the Republic of Korea (RoK), utilising the WHO-approved Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) lab technique.

The technique is extremely accurate in detecting the virus at an early stage through nasopharyngeal fluid.

The kits received approval from the Korea Centres for Disease Control and Prevention along with the RoK’s Ministry of Food and Drug Safety.

In addition to the kits, LG Company also granted personal protective gear to the ministry on May 8 in Ha Noi.

Sung Woo-nam, general director of the company, said the contribution of enterprises is necessary in helping the community fight the global pandemic.

“We believe that the Government’s action, related agencies’ involvement and people’s solidarity will defeat the pandemic soon,” he said. .— VNS
