Budget airline Jetstar Pacific yesterday announced a brand new international route between the central province of Quang Binh’s Dong Hoi City and Chiang Mai, Thailand, making it the first airline to connect the two cities.

As planned, Jetstar Pacific’s first flight will depart on August 11th, with two weekly flights on Monday and Friday, operated by an Airbus A320, with 180 seats. The flight time is one hour and 40 minutes.

The average fare of the new route is VND620,000 (US$27.4), excluding taxes and fees.

Quang Binh Province is known worldwide for beautiful beaches, the Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park and limestone caves—including the massive Son Doong Cave.

The airlines also announced that the first flight from Da Nang to Osaka, Japan, will depart at 2.30pm on September 1st with four flights per week on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.

Meanwhile, the return from Osaka to Da Nang will take off around 9.15am on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. — VNS
