InterContinental Danang to host World Travel Awards

HA NOI (Biz Hub) — The World Travel Awards will organise its annual awards ceremony for for the tourism and hotel industry at the InterContinental Da Nang Sun Peninsula Resort on October 15.

According to Sungroup, investor of the resort, more than 180 senior representatives, entrepreneurs, tourism experts and media personnel will gather at the event, focusing on Asia and Australia this year.

Graham Cooke, chairman of World Travel Awards, said they chose InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort to host the event, which is considered the Oscars of tourism, because of the spectacular natural beauty, luxurious amenities and world class services, adding "Hopefully, it will set a great impression for guests at the event."

According to Sungroup, the event is a chance to mark Viet Nam on the world map of luxury resorts. The 180 attendees are influential people from the world tourism industry and from the international media.

The Da Nang-based resort was built in 2012 and designed by Bill Bensley, who is among the world's top five architects. It combines Vietnamese aesthetic values and cultural characteristics with international luxury and sophistication. — VNS
