IBM announced the appointment of Tan Jee Toon as the Country General Manager of IBM Viet Nam on Wednesday.

Tan brings with him 25 years of experience in information technology (IT), having held various leadership positions in which he successfully drove cross-brand integration, particularly across IBM’s strategic imperatives and enabling clients’ digital reinvention across Asia Pacific.

This is a homecoming for Tan, who previously led IBM’s business in Viet Nam as Country General Manager from 2013 to 2015. Prior to this appointment, Jee Toon was Director of IBM Cloud and Solutions in Asia Pacific, based in Singapore.

As the Country General Manager for IBM Viet Nam, he will continue to build on the strong collaboration with government and community, and accelerate facilitation of the local business ecosystem to succeed in the digital economy by capitalising on disruptive technology including artificial intelligence, cloud computing, blockchain and security. — VNS
