Huawei has appointed Fan Jun as its new CEO for Viet Nam.
As a veteran in the information, communication and technology (ICT) business, Jun will be responsible for the company’s day-to-day business operations, ensuring that Huawei meets its commitment to deliver ICT products and solutions in Viet Nam.
Jun started working at Huawei in 2006 as a senior solution manager for the Hangzhou representative office. Before his Viet Nam appointment, he worked in Kuala Lumpur as deputy CEO of Huawei Malaysia, in charge of Subsidiary operation management and transformation projects.
“Viet Nam’s ICT industry is poised for strong growth; it is therefore an exciting time to be in Viet Nam and lead our business here,” Jun said.
“Currently, we have invested here for 19 years. Viet Nam is an important, strategic market for Huawei because we believe that our growth in this market is intertwined with the overall sustainable development of a region that holds so much potential for ICT innovation and growth," said Jun.
We recognise the integral role that ICT plays in driving socio-economic development and enriching people’s daily lives, which is why we are committed to being a long-term investor in Viet Nam through our contributions to job creation, knowledge transfers, local innovation and talent development,” he added. — VNS
