Hong Bang International University in HCM City has become a destination for International Baccalaureate students from around the world under a agreement signed on Tuesday between it and the International Baccalaureate organisation.

“HIU is the strategic partner for IB students in not only the Asia – Pacific region, but also globally to transfer,” Stefanie Leong, IB’s head of development and recognition, Asia Pacific, said.

HIU will have special provisions for IB students, including waiver of some credits when they transfer to the university.

The collaboration is a foundation for it to develop curriculums fully in English, the university said.

It now has some curriculums in English for students and programmes associated with foreign universities under the 2+2, 3+1 and other models. — VNS
