HCM CITY (Biz Hub) – Global IT outsourcing and professional recruitment business Harvey Nash and Korean gateway provider HUMAX announced a strategic partnership on July 30 in HCM City that will lead to 200 engineering jobs being created in both Viet Nam and the UK.

The aim of the partnership is to develop technology for HUMAX and help it bring products to market, with Harvey Nash providing IP protection and governance focus.

Paul Smith, chairman of Harvey Nash's outsourcing division, said, "The strategic partnership with HUMAX will forge strong links between the UK, Viet Nam and Korea, and as the third largest technology company in Viet Nam we are confident that we will be able to help HUMAX bring products to markets ahead of their competition."

The UK-based Harvey Nash has one of the largest technology and BPO businesses in Viet Nam. It has over 2,000 staff in its outsourcing division in Viet Nam, Europe, and the US, with 1,400 of them based in Ha Noi and HCM City.

HUMAX supplies video and broadband gateways, digital set-top boxes, and digital video recorders to over 80 countries for the payTV and broadband industries.
