Korea’s Hanwha Life Vietnam Insurance Company Ltd announced late last week that it has set up 100 customer service centres four months earlier than planned.

This is a milestone that helps the company expand its distribution system, provide better customer service and increase its presence in the life insurance market, Hanwha said.

The service centre is in Duc Pho township in the central province of Quang Ngai’s Duc Pho District.

Hanwha’s customer service system spans all regions of the country.

Back Jong Kook, chairman and general director of Hanwha Life Vietnam, said: “Our highest goal is to become one of the top life insurance firms in terms of service quality. We will not stop at the 100 service centres and continue to go ahead by expanding new customer transactions and upgrading existing facilities.”

According to the company’s latest finanical report, in the first half of 2017 it had earned VND301 billion in new policy premium revenues, 59 per cent higher year-on-year.

The company has 28,000 financial consultants and serves over 200,000 clients.

Last year for the first time, after eight years in Viet Nam, the company reported a profit, raking in VND12 billion (US$526,000) in profit before taxes. — VNS
