Generali Vietnam collaborated with the National Fund for Vietnamese Children (NFVC) to officially launch the “Suc khoe trao Minh – Truong moi trao Em” (Health for us – School for kids) fundraising campaign on June 21 to celebrate the Month of Action for Children 2023.
The campaign aims to build and renovate a branch school of Son Ca kindergarten in Mo O Commune, Dkrong District, Quang Tri Province. In addition, Generali Vietnam has also implemented various other community initiatives to actively contribute to the care, education and comprehensive development of Vietnamese children.
The campaign is part of Generali Group’s The Human Safety Net Global Challenge 2023 happening in 24 countries, including Viet Nam. The campaign sets dual objectives: fundraising VND500 million to build the school via sports challenges and encouraging a healthy and active lifestyle for participants.
All funds raised will be transferred to the NFVC to implement the building of a new, safe, clean and well-equipped branch of Son Ca kindergarten in Mo O Commune, Dkrong District, Quang Tri Province.
The school benefits 75 vulnerable Van Kieu children (two to five years of age). This is the third year in a row Generali Vietnam has collaborated with NFVC to raise funds to support disadvantaged children via The Human Safety Net’s Global Challenge initiative.
Also in June, Generali Vietnam and the National Fund for Vietnamese Children in Dien Bien and the People's Committee of Dien Bien Dong District completed the building of a new kitchen at Ban Mai kindergarten, Xa Dung Commune, Dien Bien Dong District, Dien Bien Province for 83 disadvantaged children aged three to six. Funding for the project comes from Generali Vietnam’s annual fundraising program organised at the beginning of this year.
“We are pleased to be able to have such construction projects quickly accomplished and put into operation for the kids. We look forward to enhancing our longstanding and trusted partnership to meet our mutual goal of promoting the care, protection and education of Vietnamese children,” said Dinh Tien Hai, Director of the NFVC.
Generali Vietnam’s community activities in Action Month for Children 2023 also include the reignition of the parenting programme “Sinh Con, Sinh Cha” across provinces and cities of Viet Nam. The most recent workshop in Dong Anh District of Ha Noi benefited nearly 700 parents, children, as well as teachers and staff of Tuoi Tho and Uy No kindergartens by discussing popular parenting topics such as early education for children with the example of learning about money, handling children’s tantrum behaviour, and protecting children against physical and psychological abuses. The programme will arrive in Quang Ngai Province for the first time by the end of June and in other provinces in the second half of the year.
“The extensive reach and enthusiastic support of our community programmes is a strong testament to our strategic direction, our people’s unity, creativity, their loving and caring hearts and most importantly, the valuable public trust in Generali Vietnam. This greatly motivates us to commit to our ambition of becoming “Lifetime Partners” to millions of Vietnamese families,” said Vinay Dhareshwar, Acting CEO of Generali Vietnam.— VNS
