DA NANG (Biz Hub) — The Quang Nam-Da Nang Trade company (Datraco) has introduced a 22-storey five-star Grand Tourane hotel on My Khe Beach, the first luxury beach hotel in the central city.

Chairman of the company Phan Son Anh said the hotel, which was built on nearly 13,000sq.m of land with a total investment of VND485 billion (US$21.5 million), offers 189 luxurious rooms and suites with an ocean view along Vo Nguyen Giap Street.

Anh said the company had assigned the management of the hotel to the Asian Grand Legacy International.

The hotel will include two large halls that can seat up to 600 people for some of Da Nang's biggest events, including the Asia European Economic Co-operation 2017 and the fifth Asian Beach Games in 2016.

He said luxury beach resorts had been developed in the city over the past five years, but this would be the city's first luxury five-star hotel.

Tourist real estate remains a favourite investment magnet in this central city, attracting 25 foreign direct investment (FDI) projects worth US$1.8 billion.

Le Canh Duong, director of the city's investment promotion centre, said the 25 FDI projects comprised 54 per cent of the total FDI capital in the city.

The city has so far developed 16 tourist property projects, consisting of 749 villas, of which 609 are for sale and 140 for lease. — VNS
