In the spirit of mutual support and affection, the Dutch Lady milk brand belonging to FrieslandCampina Vietnam has carried out a charity programme to provide nearly 70,000 servings of fresh milk to people affected by Typhoon Yagi in Ha Nam and Yen Bai provinces.

In Yen Bai Province, many families are facing difficulties in rehabilitating their lives after the disaster, especially children, usually the most vulnerable.

A representative of the Ha Nam government said that during floods essential supplies like nutritious foods, especially milk, are crucial particularly for children.

In many places, people have been living in flooded conditions for days without many necessities, he said.

“The support from the Dutch Lady brand has been very timely. I believe that with solidarity and community support, everyone will overcome their difficulties and soon stabilise their lives.”

FrieslandCampina Vietnam has joined hands with political and social organisations such as the Vietnam Red Cross Society and Vietnam Women’s Union besides local distributors to bring practical gifts and small but warm joys to people in the flood-affected areas.

Dutch Lady plans to continue this meaningful journey by collaborating with local distributors to implement a loving price support programme for charitable organisations and flood relief, providing free transportation to requested locations. — VNS
