South Korea's CJ Vietnam Group has granted scholarships worth VNĐ450 million (US$18,500) to 100 outstanding students from primary to university levels in the Central Highlands province of Lâm Đồng.

Phạm S, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, said CJ Group's scholarships not only provided educational opportunities for students facing difficulties but also clearly reflected the social spirit, sincerity, and responsibility towards education.

For his part, chairman of CJ Vietnam Group Chang Bok Sang said: "We are committed to continuing to accompany and create job opportunities for young people who have received CJ scholarships."

"CJ's scholarship programme is not only the effort of the group in supporting education but also a symbol of long-term commitment to the community. CJ will continue to prove ourselves not only as a regular business but also as a reliable companion and partner of the Vietnamese community," he said.

From 2013, CJ Group has implemented the scholarship programme to support and encourage the academic spirit of students in Lâm Đồng.

To date, more than 1,100 students have received CJ scholarships, helping them overcome difficulties and persist on the path to acquiring knowledge. — VNS
