Central Group Vietnam inaugurated its first Go!Market supermarket in Viet Nam on Friday.
Located on Nguyen Xien Street, Thanh Tri District, Ha Noi, the 5,800 square metre supermarket showcases a wide range of products including food, consumer goods, home appliance and fashion. It also offers a playground and entertainment services.
In her speech at the opening ceremony, Central Group Vietnam deputy general director Nguyen Thi Phuong described the launch of the first Go!Market in Viet Nam as a milestone for her company in the development of its retail business.
Yesterday also saw a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed between Central Group Vietnam and the Ministry of Industry and Trade’s Domestic Market Department, and another MoU inked between the enterprise and the Department of Cooperatives and Rural Development under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
Under these agreements, the three sides will team up to implement programmes on purchasing safe farm produce directly from local farmers.
During the ceremony, Central Group Vietnam also donated essential goods worth VND30 million (US$1,280) for orphans in BIRLA Children Village in Ha Noi. It also gave away scholarships valued at VND70 million ($3,000) for minority students living in difficult circumstances and studying at the capital city's Hoa Sua School. – VNS
