HA NOI (Biz Hub) – The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), British University Vietnam (BUV) and Audit and Consulting Service Company UHY ACA (UHY) have signed an agreement in Ha Noi on July 29.

According to the memorandum of understanding that was signed, the three parties will work together to provide ICAEW's certificate in finance, accounting and business (CFAB) to students and graduates of BUV.

This will give the students an opportunity to gain an internationally recognised qualification, enhancing their employability and helping them to develop vital business skills.

ICAEW's chief representative in Viet Nam Dang Thi Mai Trang said, "Though ICAEW has only recently opened its Viet Nam office, we have had many effective and fruitful co-operations with businesses and leading universities in Viet Nam. This includes offering Vietnamese students the opportunity to acquire essential knowledge and working skills, while improving the quality of human resource inputs for enterprises."

This special co-operation programme is being implemented since early 2015, to open up opportunities and pave the way for BUV students to become chartered accountants, a prestigious and well-recognised professional designation in accounting, finance and audit. This also gives BUV students a chance to acquire a professional certificate that is globally recognized, while still working on their university programme, gaining greater competitive advantage for their future career development. — VNS
