HCM CITY (Biz Hub) – Home Credit Viet Nam and the Institute for Educational Research (IER) yesterday announced their "Blossoming Buds" Fund with a total value of VND1 billion (US$47,000).

The fund has been set up with the main aim of helping disadvantaged children at kindergarten-age living in industrial parks and export processing zones in HCM City, Binh Duong and Dong Nai provinces.

The fund will handover a total of 1,000 scholarships worth VND1 million each to workers with young children from six months to five years old in the three localities. It will also organise programmes to educate parents on how to choose a good kindergarten.

In the coming months, the organisers will expand the programme, calling for support from their partners and staff. — VNS
