BAA Training Vietnam, an aviation training centre in HCM City, has announced that it will purchase more training equipment, including a state-of-the-art Airbus A320neo full flight simulator which has been assembled and approved by Civil Aviation Administration of Vietnam (CAAV).

With the additional equipment, BAA Training Vietnam can provide up to 14,600 flight hours yearly for pilot training and will prepare 120 independent-type rating pilots, as well as devote up to 10,000 hours of full flight simulator for recurrent training. It will also provide wet and dry lease services.

The total capacity of BAA Training Vietnam will be up to 14,600 flight training hours. Two more full flight simulators are scheduled to be added by 2021.

In addition, BAA Training Vietnam has installed a brand-new training device for the firefighting training purposes – V9000 Commander. The device which imitates fire and smoke is used to train cabin crew members to act in case of emergencies by fighting fires and safely evacuating passengers.

“As reported by the CAAC, Vietnamese airlines operate 170 aircraft, but the number will rise to 200 by 2020 and will require an additional 200 pilots annually. With the majority aircraft being single-aisle, such as Airbus A320, BAA Training Vietnam seeks to ensure local market with the needed resources for pilot training. Furthermore, as the only independent aviation training centre in Vietnam, we create a possibility for independent pilots to pursue their dream career,” said Vytautas Jankauskas, managing director at BAA Training Vietnam. – VNS
