Amway Vietnam and the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee have agreed to cooperate on implementing community support activities.
The activities aim to enhance patriotism and national pride among Vietnamese teenagers and promote the information and propaganda activities of the Central Youth Union, as well as helping people in southern Viet Nam who are suffering from drought and water shortages.
This cooperation, formally signed at a ceremony on June 27, aligns with Amway Viet Nam's plan to expand its social responsibility and community service efforts, in line with its mission of 'Helping people have better, healthier lives'.
The programme will be implemented in two phases:
In 2024, Amway Vietnam will donate 60 domestic water tanks, each of two thousand litres, to Cần Thơ, An Giang, and Trà Vinh provinces to help address water shortages.
The programme will donate one alum water purifier system and ten school drinking water purifiers to Tây Ninh province and 400 framed maps of Việt Nam to the Provincial Youth Unions of the Northern Midlands Cluster and some Northern provinces and cities, as part of a campaign 'Proud of a mountain range and river' launched by the Central Youth Union. It will also implement improvements and upgrades to the Central Youth Union's website
In second phase in 2025, the two organisations will continue to expand the community support programme to additional provinces and cities across Việt Nam.
Huynh Thien Trieu, the General Director of Amway Vietnam said that they have a strong commitment to supporting the community and sustainable development in all the markets they operate in worldwide and it is core to their mission.
They were honored to be cooperating with the Central Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union. This partnership likely allows them to effectively implement social responsibility programs and reach the right target audiences across the country.
Triều expressed his confidence that the coordinated implementation of these social responsibility initiatives will be, as he said: "Extremely effective, diverse and targeted."
This programme aims to enhance the quality of life and work towards the goals of health and happiness through six comprehensive health factors, physical health, mental health, planet protection, community connection, personal development and financial health.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Nguyen Hai Nam, Member of the Executive Committee and Deputy Head of the Central Youth Union Office, as well as Head of the Southern Youth Union's Working Committee, emphasised the significant role of various activities in contributing to community and social security initiatives.
Nam highlighted that these efforts serve as a foundation for both the Southern Working Committee and Amway Company Limited to engage in mutual learning and enhance understanding. Together, they aim to collaborate on research, develop and expand social security activities that benefit the community.
Nam also expressed gratitude towards Amway Vietnam for their support in advancing digital applications and for their donation of 400 maps of Vietnam as part of the pride of mountains and rivers campaign.
The Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee views this partnership as instrumental in enhancing the efficiency of managing community activities through digital platforms and spreading valuable knowledge and values among union members and youth, he said.
