HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Starbucks, yesterday, celebrated the opening of the first of their three stores in the capital city.

Located at the Lan Vien Hotel in Ly Thuong Kiet street, this store embraces the local traditions and coffee culture. In the coming days, Starbucks will open two more stores in Ha Noi on July 24th at 314 Ba Trieu Street and on July 31st at 59A Ly Thai To Street, further demonstrating Starbucks' deep commitment to the Vietnamese community, after entering the market in February of last year.

"We are both excited and humbled to bring the Starbucks Experience to our customers in Ha Noi. Our stores are designed as gathering places for customers to enjoy a personalised, handcrafted cup of coffee, with friends and family. We look forward to serving our customers and the local community," said Jeff Hansberry, president, Starbucks China and Asia Pacific region.

Speaking on the occasion, Patricia Marques, General Manager, Starbucks Viet Nam, added, "We are thrilled to open the first Starbucks store in Ha Noi, which will offer customers the distinct third place experience Starbucks is known for around the world. At the heart of that experience are the passionate, knowledgeable partners, who proudly wear the iconic Starbucks green apron every day – and are the key to our continued success in Viet Nam."

The Starbucks stores in Ha Noi will offer a variety of locally distinct beverage options, most notably the Asian Dolce Latte, which made its debut at the opening of the Ho Chi Minh City store last year. Created specifically for coffee lovers across the region with a distinct preference, the Asian Dolce Latte was inspired by Viet Nam's coffee culture and lifestyle.

Starbucks opened its first store in Viet Nam in HCM City in February 2013, and since then has opened eight stores across the city and hired more than 200 part-time and full-time partners across Viet Nam. Starbucks operates its stores in the country through a licensed partnership with Coffee Concepts (Viet Nam), a subsidiary of Hong Kong Maxim's Group. — VNS
