Phu My Hung Development has launched a new housing project called Nam Phuc – Le Jardin. Set amid 45,000sq.m of parks, the project, as city in a garden, is being built in the most beautiful area in Phú Mỹ Hưng City Centre. Company vice president Truong Quoc Hung speaks about the project and the city centre's Southside District.
Why is Phu My Hung launching the project at this time? Is it related to the housing market recovery?
The property market is seeing positive signs with many new projects mushrooming thanks to the Government's favourable policies.
The launch of our new project, Le Jardin, however, is not connected with this trend; it is part of our annual plan.
Every year we have our own clear roadmap and plan for the number of projects and apartments that will be marketed, and it does not depend on what happens in the market.
This way we are able to offer the best management services to our residents after projects are finished and handed over.
That is why we will not develop on a mass scale even when the market is booming. Sustainable business development is what we have pursued from the beginning till now.
Can you tell us more about the new project?
Le Jardin is the ninth project in the Southside District and 39th in the Phu My Hung City Centre.
Surrounded by a 45,000sq.m green park, Le Jardin is located in the most beautiful area in Phú Mỹ Hưng City Centre - the Southside District which is positioned as the high-end residence zone in our international-standard city centre. The place has the lowest construction rate and highest greenery rate, and offers residents a healthy living environment.
In Việt Nam, particularly in HCM City, it is difficult to find an apartment building surrounded by big 45,000sq.m parks like Le Jardin. The development of parks in this area once more underscores our plan to make Phú Mỹ Hưng City Centre the urban living area with the highest green cover rate in the country. This target is very important for us because we want to offer our residents fresh air and a peaceful environment after a hard working day.
Another advantage is that Le Jardin is just besides Nguyen Luong Bang Boulevard easily connecting to the international commercial and financial district, which is home to many large companies and shopping malls like Unilever, Vinamilk, Parkson Paragon, Ibis Hotel, etc. It takes only a few minutes to reach the Crescent, where the mall and promenade are situated. So it is easy for residents to access all services.

Could you tell us about the company's development plans for the Southside District?
Phu My Hung Development Corporation has almost fully developed Hillview District, Canal District and Recreational and Cultural District.
In the near future we will focus on the Southside District with many new projects so that the district will be more developed.
To speed up the development process, our company has decided to soon carry out a series of projects to upgrade the system of trees.
In the near future the district will get a new face.
Beginning with the Southside District, this tree upgrade system project will be implemented everywhere in the Phu My Hung City Centre.
Though the existing green spaces are large and very beautiful, we keep looking for more design solutions and methods to make them more colourful so that our residents can enjoy the environment more, and of course, adding the value increase to properties.
In addition, we will further develop infrastructure so that our residents will have more safe spaces to walk and ride around in the Southside District.
More equipment will be installed so that residents can exercise at parks.
With our investment, we hope that residents will have a more joyful time after coming back from a day of hard work.
