HA NOI (Biz Hub) — National carrier Vietnam Airlines (VNA) on August 6 signed a comprehensive co-operation agreement with its major partner, the Vietnam Technological and Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Techcombank).

Under the agreement, the airline will create conditions for Techcombank to provide financial and banking services and invest in the firm's subsidiaries. It will also offer preferential policies to passengers, goods, luggage and parcels from the bank.

Techcombank will supply financial services such as salary payment services, monetary management, funds for projects and personal financial products for Vietnam Airlines staff.

Techcombank became the VNA's largest investor on November 14, 2014, after the firm launched its initial public offering. In December, the two sides signed two credit contracts worth nearly VND2 trillion (US$92.29 million).

As of March 31 this year, the bank's total assets were valued at VND179.1 trillion ($8.26 billion), with a charter capital of nearly VND8.89 trillion ($410.24 million). — VNS
