HCM CITY (Biz Hub) — Military Bank will finance Vietjet a short-run credit worth VND500 billion (more than US$22.2 million), which is used to add on the airline' working capital and to be disbursed for prepayment of aircraft purchasing.

The bank will also provide Vietjet with a long-term credit that is spent to buy one or two new aircraft from Airbus and with other mutually beneficial banking services.

The loans followed a co-operation agreement inked between the two sides on December 2.

Meanwhile, the partners agree to collaborate on offering a new market approach, which can optimize Vietjet's booking system and Military bank's MB Plus service.

Luu Duc Khanh, Vietjet's managing director, said one of Vietjet's priorities is to offer passengers high quality aviation services.

The airline is dedicated to innovating and developing its services in order to better serve passengers, he said.

In his speech, Luu Trung Thai, Military Bank's vice chairman said this partnership agreement will lead to more co-operation between Vietjet and his bank in the near future.

With its non-stop developing fleet of modern aircraft, Vietjet is expanding its network within Viet Nam and connecting to other destinations in the region. The airline boasts a fleet of 29 aircraft, including A320s and A321s, and operates 190 flights each day. — VNS
