HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Vietinbank is offering its new customers six-month term loans for an interest rate of five per cent per annum, vietnamplus.vn reports.

The offer is available till the end of March 2015. The bank is also offering new customers a 6.5 per cent interest rate per annum for loans of a maximum 12 months.

The loan package is part of the bank's Connecting Potential Customers programme, which targets businesses that will take loans from Vietinbank for the first time.

Currently, the bank is charging a minimum annual interest rate of seven per cent for business loans.

Vietinbank said that the favourable interest rate aims to help enterprises to access capital to boost their production and trading activities.

Since early 2014, Vietinbank has provided 12 different loan packages worth VND 230 trillion (US$10.7 billion) to enterprises of different industries to help them overcome difficulties. — VNS
