HA NOI (Biz Hub) — State Bank of Viet Nam Governor Nguyen Van Binh has approved the opening of branches by two foreign banks in Viet Nam.
The central bank said in a statement released late last week that the Taiwan-headquartered E.SUN Commercial Bank Ltd will open a unit in the southern Dong Nai province, and French bank BNP Paribas will set up a unit in Ha Noi.
The institutions have to complete more procedures before they set up their establishments. — VNS
