HA NOI (Biz Hub) ─ South Korea's Woori Bank wants to boost investments and operations in Viet Nam, said bank chairman Lee Soon Woo.
Lee made the announcement at a meeting with State Bank of Viet Nam Governor Nguyen Van Binh in Ha Noi last Friday, adding that Woori expects to strengthen co-operation and share experiences with the central bank with regard to the restructuring of the credit institution system.
Binh appreciated Woori Bank's announcement, noting that South Korean banks have positively contributed to Viet Nam's socio-economic development.
Two Woori branches in Ha Noi and HCM City are actively helping to attract foreign investors to Viet Nam, he added. ─ VNS
