HCM CITY (Biz Hub) — Seven banks have pledged to give preferential loans totaling VND820 billion, or US$39.05 million, to 42 enterprises in HCM City.

Sacombank, Vietinbank, Agribank, Vietcombank, Asia Commercial Bank, Military Bank and National Citizen Bank signed the credit contracts in District 1 on Tuesday.

The companies, operating in prioritised sectors, are offered an annual interest rate of 8 per cent for short-term loans, and 11 per cent for medium- to-long-term loans.

This year, the city's programme to link banks and enterprises has benefited nearly 600 businesses, cooperatives and households. The amount of pledged funds totals about $673.43 million, with interest rates ranging between 7 per cent and 11 per cent. — VNS
