HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has appointed Nguyen Thi Hong, director of the State Bank of Viet Nam's (SBV) Monetary Policy Department, as the new SBV deputy governor.
According to Government Decision 1418 /QD TTg, Hong, 46, officially assumed her new post on August 16, the very day the Prime Minister signed the decision.
Born in the capital city, Hong is currently the only female among the SBV's seven deputy SBV governors. The only other female to assume the post before her was Duong Thu Huong, who was SBV deputy governor from 1997 to 2007. — VNS
