HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Ltd. (HSBC) has appointed deputy general director Pham Hong Hai as its new general director beginning December 1, the bank told Biz Hub on December 5.
Hai, HSBC Viet Nam's first Vietnamese general director, replaced Sumit Dutta, who is moving to HSBC Indonesia.
Hai began his career with HSBC Viet Nam in the financial control department in 1995. He was later appointed Head of Global Markets in 2004 and Head of Global Banking and Markets in 2012. His term runs from 2014 to 2016.
Hai holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from the University of Economics in Ho Chi Minh City and a Diploma in Financial Services Management from the Institute of Financial Services in the United Kingdom.
