HD Bank opened its 281st branch last week in Vinh Yen City in the northern province of Vinh Phuc.
The branch on Me Linh Street in Lien Bao Ward is the lender’s first in the province.
To mark the opening, the bank gave gifts to customers and is offering 0.7 percentage points extra interest on six-month deposits and 0.4 points extra for 12- and 13-month deposits.
It also gifted two new houses worth VND80 million (US$3,430) to two poor local families.
The bank offers all regular products like deposits, loans, payment services, money transfer and other financial services.
At the end of September, HDBank had VND199.4 trillion ($8.5 billion) in total assets and charter capital of VND9.8 trillion ($420.5 million).
It reported solid results for the first nine months of the year with a consolidated pre-tax profit of VND2.9 trillion ($124 million), up 50.8 per cent from the same period last year.
