HA NOI (Biz Hub) ― Central Economic Committee deputy head Nguyen Ngoc Bao has been appointed as a member of the National Advisory Council for Financial and Monetary Policies by Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung.
Bao replaces the committee's director, Vuong Dinh Hue, in the council. He was formerly the chairman of the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Agribank).
The advisory council is chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Vu Van Ninh, with 29 members. Its vice chairmen are State Bank of Viet Nam Governor Nguyen Van Binh and National Finance Supervisory Commission Chairman Vu Viet Ngoan.
The council is responsible for proposing important policies and projects to the Government on financial and monetary issues. It also gives professional advice to the Prime Minister on related operational measures. ― VNS
