HA NOI (Biz Hub) — The Viet Nam Export Import Commercial Joint-Stock Bank (Eximbank) has elected its new chairman.
Le Minh Quoc, 64, was chosen by his fellow management board members at a shareholders' meeting held on December 15. He will stay on the bank's management board for the 2015-2020 term.
Quoc earned a bachelor's degree in business administration in Switzerland. Before being elected as Eximbank chairman, he held management positions in banks in Viet Nam and other countries.
Quoc was senior vice-president of Canada-based BNP bank; regional manager of BNP Paribas Bank in France and Singapore; and managing director of Taiwan-based BNP Paribas Bank.
In Viet Nam, Quoc was general director of the Viet Nam-based BNP Paribas Bank; deputy-general director of the Orient Commercial Joint Stock Bank (OCB) and vice-chairman of the Board of Au Lac Joint Stock Company.
Quoc does not hold any share of Eximbank and does not represent any share-holders of the bank. — VNS
