BINH DINH (Biz Hub) — The Bank of Investment and Development of Viet Nam (BIDV) will give VND621 billion (US$29.5 million) as loan for Vinh Son hydropower plant No 4's construction in the central province.
The 18MW plant will be built by the Vinh Son Investment joint-stock company in the River Con in Vinh Thanh District from the third quarter of this year. The power plant is expected to supply 72 million kilowatt per hour annually from 2018.
The central province has 22 hydropower plants with a total production capacity of 346 MW.
Last year, the Vinh Son Company put into operation the Vinh Son 5 hydropower plant, providing 25 million kilowatt per hour annually to the national grid. — VNS
