HAU GIANG (Biz Hub) ― The ANZ Bank and Saigon Children's Charity (SCC) have announced a three-year education programme to help young people in Long My District in southern Hau Giang Province.

The programme, known as Project 3E, aims to educate, enrich and employ 4,000 disadvantaged children.

ANZ Viet Nam CEO Tareq Muhmood said organisers hoped to raise more than US$600,000 for the work.

"Our aim is to make sustainable change in the community of Long My, one of the poorest areas in Mekong Delta," he said.

SCC is a UK registered non-governmental organisation that has been operating in Viet Nam for 20 years. ― VNS
