Ascott celebrates Somerset’s properties 20th anniversary

CapitaLand’s wholly-owned serviced residence business unit, the Ascott Limited (Ascott), last Friday celebrates the 20th anniversary of its two serviced residences, Somerset HCM City and Somerset Grand Hà Nội. 

Since 1997, the two properties have been accommodating worldwide travellers and residents, establishing their names as the top international standard serviced residences in the country.

“As the leader of serviced residences in Việt Nam with more than 4,800 units across seven cities and provinces, today is the perfect opportunity to thank all those who have worked hard to achieve what we have accomplished. To celebrate this remarkable milestone, we would like to reward our customers and continue to give back to the communities as we look forward to the next 20 years and more”, said Lew Yen Ping, Country General Manager, Việt Nam.

Mukaichi Hiroaki, one of the Somerset Grand Hà Nội’s longest residents shared: “The leadership team presents a high hospitality standard that flows through all levels of staff at the property.  Thank you to the wonderful staff, security guards, guest service, housekeeping staff and gym attendant, who have made my years spent with you so enjoyable”. 

Both properties have also been an active player in essential projects like preserving water, recycling and managing waste, as well as calling on guests and residents to donate food, clothing and educational supplies to help local communities in need.

The two residences also support, organize and facilitate charity events that raise funds for  Annual Somerset Charity Bazaar and Car Wash Eco-bag campaigns as well as 800 underprivileged school children in remote areas in Bình Phước, Nam Định and Hòa Bình.
